Promoting the Engage Programme with Legal & General

Engage is Legal and General’s employee engagement programme, and the L&G team in Birmingham wanted to re-invigorate it. They wanted to highlight some of the great work they’ve done and encourage more people to get involved.

We were tasked with creating a short film to create excitement and educate employees about Engage. It would be shown to 750 employees in the local IMAX cinema as part of a ‘town-hall’ strategy day.

Our approach

The Engage programme consists of nine pillars representing different initiatives. We asked employees what their motivations were for being involved with each of the pillars.

By doing this we were able to highlight the great content the programme already had, and showcase the benefits of being involved.

Our solution

Filmed in a day and edited in a week, we delivered a film which built in pace, conveyed excitement and clearly showed the benefits of the programme. We paired it with an uplifting soundtrack to reflect this momentum, so overall, employees were inspired to get involved.

Overall, managers saw a real buzz across the office and they saw a significant rise in their people taking up more learning modules.

The results

The Engage intranet page saw double the traffic in the following week after the event. The team received 35 enquiries about getting involved immediately after the event, and there was also a big uptake for a following ‘Personal Brand’ event.
